This expanded indoor facility will help us meet the increasing demand for our recreational programs and provide quality spaces for our community.

OTRD is planning on expanding by adding additional indoor facility space to better serve our growing community. Some of the goals that OTRD would like to add in the new facility feature:
More Court space, for indoor walking, 3 full size basketball courts that can also accommodate 6 full size volleyball courts, room for more possible exercise classes, host events. -Multi Purpose room for Futsal(indoor soccer), drop down batting cages, flag football, and baseball softball. -24/7 Membership access Pickleball/Basketball room. -Locker rooms for participants. -Conference room for meetings and events.
In 2006 the Oregon Trail Recreation District was established to benefit the residents of our community through recreational opportunities. At the time OTRD had 0 programs and were funding and supporting our community with many projects in the area. Projects like; building & maintaining the walking path next to the golf course, helping with funding on the Burley Tennis courts, supported the updating of the Burley Swimming Pool, Funded and constructed the storybook park and Freedom park restroom and assisted with providing new boat docks in the area.

Did you know that Oregon Trail Recreation District currently offers 21 programs for both youth and adults?
In 2025 over 2500 kids participated in youth programs including baseball, cheerleading, pickleball, volleyball and more.
Adult programs including daily walking, early morning basketball and pickleball have at least 160 participants.
To keep pace with the recreational needs of the growing community, more indoor space is needed. We are currently maxing out on the number of kids we can take for some of our programs due to lack of gym space.
What This Means for You:
With OTRD having an expanded indoor facility, OTRD will be able to offer more programs, better serve our growing community, and provide greater access for everyone to enjoy.
Your support will help us continue serving and improving our community!
